A quick post before I head off to my Monday night yoga class. I absolutely love this class, the teacher is so good and makes you feel that you've done well as long as you've tried your best irrelevant of what level you are at. I can see the difference it is having on my body as well. I never thought I would be one to go for yoga but am so glad I gave it a try. It is like exercise but without the sweat!
The twins and I popped into Beeston today to get out of the house for a while. I visited my favourite vintage shop, I'd not been for a while and it was stocked full of goodies. I love to look at all the vintage and retro pieces they have, it's like a mini museum! I contemplated a navy tweed jacket which was very on trend and would have looked nice with jeans. It fitted well but had quite chunky shoulder pads and I couldn't see how I would get them out without some serious sewing and so decided against it. I picked up a Ladybird book on shopping for the twins and took a chance on a purchase for me. I saw a mustard yellow pure wool pencil skirt but there was no price, when I checked it was part of a set and came with a jacket. It was marked down to £15 but I wasn't really interested in the jacket. I had another look and fitted the jacket on which was nice. I didn't try the skirt as I wanted to have tights etc on and couldn't be bothered to squeeze in the tiny fitting room with the twins! I decided to give it a chance and go for it, I am really hoping the skirt fits as I think I will wear it with quite a few things. I took the jacket to a little sewing shop and got some different buttons which blend better.
I will post some pictures when I've sorted the buttons and styled the skirt (hopefully) how I like!
My outfit today was quite simple, my Boden nautical top, (what's new!) this one is almost a sweatshirt fabric so thicker for the winter. I also wore the dark denim Gap jeans my Mum kindly gave me. They are a great fit so am pleased with them for free!

The green version
The hubbys parents were coming over today and we were going to venture into town for some Christmas shopping but wisely decided at the last minute that it would be too crazy this close to the big day and went to Relish for lunch instead! As I'm sure you have guessed by now, if you are a regular reader of the blog, this is somewhere I visit rather frequently! They are just so lovely though and they don't mind messy babies and people sitting with friends having a long lunch and even longer cups of tea and the food is so delicious. I could go on...
Anyway, I dressed for a day in town and then felt a little over dressed for Relish but as hubby pointed out 'it's for your blog though' so I felt happier. And I do love this skirt. As you may notice this is a very similar outfit to the other day but I liked it so much I thought I'd just change the colour and the accessories and go with it. I added my boots (posted yesterday) and a chunky pearl necklace from Primark and we were good to go.

Equestrian envy
Yippee, it's the weekend which means hubby is finally off work and we could all spend some time together. As the twins normally sleep until around 8am they never see Daddy in the morning so when he is off and goes in to them their little faces get so excited! They start thrashing around and laughing and it is so cute. I know I am slightly biased but they are the most adorable things in the entire world.
Our Saturday mornings are generally taken up by swimming with the twins now so I just grab something which is easy to put on afterwards. This normally means leggings and today was no different. Yesterday my friend Natalie had on some lovely brown riding boots which I was very envious of! When I got home it occurred to me that I actually have some fairly similar and decided to pair these with a fern green cardigan from the Ralph Lauren outlet at Bichester Village and a white Gap t-shirt. I ended up looking like I was going horse riding!
This evening hubs and my sister have gone to a concert so my cousin and me have eaten an absolute tonne of pizza and I am feeling pretty full as I type this!

A day with friends
We spent the day with two of my besties, Natalie and Alana, chatting eating cake and playing with my twins and their girls. We are impatiently awaiting the arrival of Natalie's baby boy due today, he seems very comfy in there. I think George will be happy to have another boy to play with!
Alana had spoilt us with delicious treats of homemade tart and blueberry cake, we happily polished this off with numerous cups of tea and generally had a lovely day. I put on something that would be easy to wear for sitting around all day and didn't require much thinking. I grabbed a simple grey t-shirt that I got from Tkmaxx and really like as it has a slight detailing at the back and so looks a bit cuter than just a plain t-shirt and some old jeans that I had years ago from Marks and Spencer. I wore a plain white Boden vest underneath. I thought that the grey studded boots I had a couple of years ago from Reiss would work really well with the outfit and I was pleased with how they looked but have to admit that at the last minute I pulled on my Uggs instead. The problem with the boots is that they are so high and not balanced very well so don't ever seem that easy to wear. I find myself wanting to wear them but chickening out!
I looked for some jewellery that would compliment the t-shirt and went for a quite strong look to balance the simple top. I actually can't think where I got this necklace from? I also put on my sparkly Primark ring.

Copy cat
I have to admit that I stole this outfit idea from another blogger. I love to read other fashion blogs and sometimes get inspiration from them. A couple of days ago I saw someone wearing a pink skirt and realised that I have the very same one. I have only worn it a couple of times and really like it. I decided that I could fashion a similar outfit. She had styled it with a turquoise necklace which looked really nice but as I don't have one I felt that this floral necklace would work well.
The skirt is from Zara a couple of years ago, the t-shirt is Boden and the necklace Primark. I also put on my navy tights which have socks in the feet, they are a great idea and so comfy. Such a simple idea but really handy!
